Summertime and the livin's easy....

So let me start off by saying that I took this whole blog title "A Little Bit of Jessica Here I am..." a bit literal I think. I've been a little busy with everyday life mixed with lack of sleep has not given me any extra motivation to get on here and blog! So I'm going to focus on trying a little harder! So let me get to it already.

Friday night was spent at Wild Duck (which is a restaurant/bar on the water) with a few good friends just hanging out and enjoying the beautiful weather with a cold drink in our hands and our toes in the sand. Well, to be honest my flippy floppy's never came off, but we were in the sand so it's all the same! The atmosphere there was great! Being that I grew up on the water, I just love spending any free time I can by the water or on the water. So in between all us girls taking a million pictures (to blog about of course) we took it easy while relaxing in beach chairs and taking strolls down the peer all while watching the sun set. It was truly the perfect end to the crazy day of work I endured earlier that day.

I loved this picture! I thought it turned out neat

Saturday, Dan and I had a surprise birthday party to attend. It was actually his father's 70th surprise party and some how it managed to stay a surprise. I'm famous for putting my foot in my mouth at times so I was sure I would probably end up screwing this one up and letting the cat out of the back, so to speak. All turned out well though and he was truly surprised and extremely touched (I think I even saw a tear)! It was a good time had by all. Dan's Aunt from Texas came in to town for the party and family who we hadn't seen in months all showed up too. It was so nice catching up with everyone and getting to spend some quality time together. I know my husband Dan and his father both really enjoyed themselves. It was definitely a special day and something special to celebrate since Dan's father had surgery back in January for his back, which we all know can be serious, but it took a turn for the worse when he had a heart attack while there. Everything ended up being okay and Dan's dad is on the right path of getting and staying healthy so I see many more birthday's in his future!

Fun in the Sun

This weekend turned in to a nice and relaxing weekend spent with family! Saturday my sister Holly, her boyfriend Josh, my husband Dan and my Dad all decided to go play Mini Golf. I hadn't been in years so it was fun to do something different and my husband just started playing golf so of course he turned it in to a competition (like he always does).

Sunday was a day I had planned to do nothing! Sometimes you really just need a mental day off and that was what I intended to do! So Dan and I went over my parents home and laid out by the pool and went swimming all day (yes, that's my idea of doing nothing)! It turned out to be so nice! It was a hot one so the pool felt so good! We even got to take the Jet Ski out and Dan got a lesson in driving the boat from my Step Dad, Greg. All in all awesome weekend!

A Little About Myself

Hello World! I've wanted to start a blog for a while now and I am excited that I am finally taking the time to do so! Hopefully I can keep up with it or more importantly, I have interesting things to share with you! So just to start off I wanted to share a few things about myself. My name is Jessica (If you couldn't tell from my title) and I am a newlywed of a whole 9 months! My husband's name is Dan and we currently have three furry children by the names of Ari, Princess and Boo Boo (Princess and Boo Boo are nicknames, but it's all they know anymore). We live in a sweet little home in the Baltimore area and currently just enjoy spending quality time together along with hanging out with our amazing friends and family. We look forward to our future together and expanding our family soon enough! So I hope you can follow along with me as I enter this new chapter in my life...
